Pre-AP Drawing & 2D Design  – 0859H           Grades 11 – 12                       1 Credit Full Year

This course is designed for highly motivated students who are seriously interested in the study of art. Pre-AP takes the investigating and accurate rendering skills from Fine Arts 2 and Digital Photography to the next level. Each project encourages exploration and development of a personal voice and vision. Students will interpret and manipulate color, value, line and other Elements of Art to develop portfolio quality pieces. This course serves also serves as foundation for AP Studio Art. Students will work on pieces that match the College Board’s Breadth requirements. Prerequisite: Fine Arts 2 or Digital Photography and Graphic Design 1. Expectations for graduates addressed in this course: E2&4, H-S1, M3, S-T2&3, WL4
